KICKgen was officially launched October 2007 by martial artists who have been industry leaders for over twenty years. They have marshaled their experiences and joined with technology partners, to create KICKgen. KICKgen is designed as a social networking Internet site dedicated to martial artists. The reason KICKgen was created was because of a love for martial arts and a desire to help unite martial artists internationally.
Art, by definition, is a form of personal self-expression. The martial arts are an individual's way of expressing his/her unique abilities in a practical method of self-defense, exercise and mental discipline.
As with any art form, this is best expressed by sharing with others who have the same passion. KICKgen is a community through which martial artists from all over the world can express their love of the art with each other.

About KICKgen Demographics: KICKgen is programmed for a membership base of males and females ages twelve to twenty eight; however, actual member ages range from eight to sixty.
Privacy and Safety: KICKgen was created with safety in mind. That is why every photo and video is approved by a KICKgen staff member prior to public viewing. There is also a language filter for any text viewed publically. In addition, members are encouraged and rewarded to report any questionable content. All are welcome at KICKgen and a top priority is that this is a space that is safe for all ages.
